Aunt Barbara’s Hot Water Cornbread

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 cups Holy Water* *to make Holy Water you have to boil the “Hell” out of it!
  • 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients well
  • Add Holy Water* to form a dough
  • Heat your oil
  • Wet both hands in cold water
  • Put a scoop of dough in palm of hand
  • Roll in both hands until a pone is formed
  • Drop pone in hot oil and fry until bread browns and floats to top
  • Remove from oil and place on paper towel to drain
