Big Mama’s Southern Style “TEA CAKES”

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • cups Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour

Instructions
 

  • Using a mixer, cream the butter and sugar together
  • Add eggs, one at a time and continue to cream until smooth
  • Mix all of the dry ingredients together and fold into the creamed mixture
  • Add the vanilla (Do not over mix)
  • Cover mixture with a damp cloth and refrigerate for 45 minutes
  • Heat oven to 325°
  • Place spoonfuls of mixture on cookie sheet
  • Bake for 8 minutes
  • Remove cookies from oven and let cool, then store in airtight container
